Description

Can you think of a fruit which you can put into a gin and tonic, use to flavour salad dressing, the main course or the dessert and then use to help with the washing up afterwards? The lemon can achieve all of these, and its close cousin the lime will do nearly as well, although it may not spring to mind a readily.

The great think about lemons and limes is that they smell wonderful when you cut them and somehow they promote a feel-good clean, fresh zing factor about the place, rather like the smell of coffee or fresh toast first thing in the morning. Lemons and limes not only smell good, however, and add considerably to a whole range of culinary dishes: they really are good for you!

This book looks at the wide range of uses these citrus fruits have to offer, from nutritional and health benefits to industrial uses, beauty recipes to cleaning, it certainly won't leave a sour taste in your mouth.
