In the mad-cap medieval metropolis of Old New York lives a boy called Belmont. He'salways on the lookout for action and adventure and has a knack of finding trouble whereverit may be. When he sees real-life knights riding out with the Princess Lily for her daily gallop in Centaur Park, he is inspired to dress up as a pretend knight with a wooden sword and set off to find himself a dragon. And he does find a dragon - a goofy accident prone, phobia ridden, fire breathing dragon called Burnie. But he finds more than he bargained for along the way and is the only one who can save the Princess from Putrid Pink Pixies, Ghastly Green Gnomes and the particularly nasty Redwitch.
