The Wit and Wisdom of Ozzy Osbourne

Author(s): Dave Thompson

Biographies

"The Wit & Wisdom of Ozzy Osbourne" is an entertaining look at Ozzy's life, from his beginnings as the 'Godfather of Heavy Metal' when he was with Black Sabbath, to the pop-culture icon he now is. The book reflects the irony of the title since Ozzy isn't exactly known for his 'wisdom', but rather for his incoherent brain-fried mumbling, foibles, and outrageous antics, like urinating on a plaque at the Alamo while wearing his wife's dress. Ozzy's life story has a unique appeal because you never know what to expect. As he himself as said, 'I don't even know who Ozzy is. I wake up a new person every day'. The book is divided into 13 chapters on various topics including Ozzy's years with Black Sabbath, the troubles drugs and alcohol have caused him, his subsequent stints in rehab and his views of the world in general.
