Great Golf Courses of the World acquaints golf enthusiasts with spectacular golf photography from over 100 courses in 20 countries around the world.

Completely revised in style and format and following the sold out success of three editions of Great Golf Down Under, this publication showcases the best of golf around the world with spectacular imagery captured by acclaimed and award-winning golf course photographer Gary Lisbon.

Great Golf Courses of the World features over 400 images – many which have never before been published. To aid the reader’s navigation, Great Golf Courses of the World groups courses into both regions and countries, each section commencing with an informational piece and location map.

The photographic representation is broad – from the Northern Lights and Land of the Midnight Sun in Norway – to the dry, hard and firm links courses of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Australia’s famous Melbourne Sandbelt region is featured in all its glory, headlined by the magnificent Royal Melbourne Golf Club, as well as the island state of Tasmania’s trio of Cape Wickham, Barnbougle Dunes and Barnbougle Lost Farm.

Clifftop imagery from contemporary New Zealand courses Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs sit alongside the surreal mystique that one encounters at Tara Iti and Te Arai Links. Other key Australian and New Zealand courses also feature showcasing the wide reaching beauty of the “Land Down Under”.

Seven countries from within mainland Europe are featured. Golfing gems include Spain’s  Real Club Valderrama and Real Club Sotogrande, the mystique of France through Golf de Morfontaine, Golf de Chantilly and Les Bordes and the sandy base courses of Royal Hague and Utrecht de Pan in the Netherlands. 

Scandinavia makes a worthy appearance with the truly sensational Lofoten Links in Norway, the southern Sweden links gem of Falsterbo and the unique Royal Copenhagen, where 2,500 deer roam daily on course and create alternative golfing obstacles to those normally encountered.

The beauty of South Africa and Mauritius, and the new golf landscape of Vietnam, are also presented alongside the more established Asian golf landscapes of Thailand, China and South Korea.

Of the courses featured, over 95% are accessible to golfers worldwide. Images have been expertly captured by Lisbon and painstakingly selected to provide a balanced, varied and visually diverse end result. The panoramic format of the book is unique, yet showcases images in the most appealing manner.
