Megan Hammond lived in Western Australia with her parents and younger brother before moving to Sydney with her family at the age of nine. Throughout her childhood she had problems at school and then as an adult experienced difficulty in keeping a job. She was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in 1998, at the age of 26, and the fog that had permeated her life finally began to lift.
