This book details the histories of the various tramways of Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. It deals with the initial proposals and reasons cited for tramways in these cities. It traces the construction and operation of these provincial tramway systems through to their eventual closure and the preservation of portions of the Ballarat and Bendigo tramway systems as operating tramway museums today.
