She has a first class degree in Zoology and is midway through a degree in veterinary medicine and surgery. Jess also works as a children's TV presenter for CBeebies and as a teacher for school groups interested in animals and the natural world. While travelling, Jess spends much time working on charity projects, particularly primate rehabilitation programmes.
