Dave Broom is a much travelled freelance drinks writer and Glenfiddich award-winner who has at various times worked in England, Scotland, the United States of America and Australia in various stages of wine, beer and spirits industry, at a bottling plant in his native Scotland, serving at a wine bar in America and in the cellars in Australia. He is now the lead writer for Whisky Magazine and a contributor to Decanter, Wine Magazine, Wine and Spirit International and Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazines. He has also written or co-written a dozen books on wines, spirits and cocktails. His favourite cocktails are a Manhattan and a Negroni, and his favourite spirits are aged rum and single malt Scotch, but not all varieties of either. A judge of the International Wine & Spirit Competition, he lives Brighton.
